Review: Enthralled: Futanari Vampires 1

Enthralled (Futanari Vampires #1)Enthralled by Bryce Calderwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a ride! This book barrels through like a freight train from the first sentence to the last. The story is well-constructed, interesting, and fast-paced. It's also graphic and messy--so messy I couldn't read it while I ate. Bryce Calderwood has mastered the art of putting unrelated things together in a story, which I love, even when the subject isn't to my liking. I raced through the last third of the book because I couldn't wait to see where it was taking me.

Calderwood is a master storyteller. For all the messiness in the content, the story is tidy and all laced up in a tight package. The writing itself is slick. No fluffy language to distract from the action. Sentences that cut to the chase like Ashlyn's Damascus steel sword.

I highly recommend this excellent story.

Work in Progress: The House of Flies

WIP (Work in Progress)

Thanks to sci-fi/romance author Jolie Mason for arranging this WIP blog hoppy thing!

"The House of Flies" is a BDSM tale for an anthology called Erotic Transformations. It's the which will feature stories by M.S. Tarot, Alana Melos, Bryce Calderwood, B. J. Taylor, and others. I'm not sure of the release date, but I'll let you know. I'll also be submitting the story to the Literotica April Fool's Day contest, so you can look for it there in March.

The story was inspired by the Deftones' song "Change (In the House of Flies)". A university professor discovers that his student writes erotica and sets his sights on fulfilling her submissive fantasies. Read below for the first paragraph.

They called her Nerdy Nadine for good reason. Mousy brown hair fell over her face, creating a curtain to hide from other people. The book in which she perpetually stuck her nose was her shelter, protecting her from life outside her own head. Her clothes were too big for her body, making her appear chunky rather than pleasantly curvy. It was all a disguise, hiding the woman inside, but he was her English professor; he read her writing. He knew what lay beneath the surface of Nadine’s cold, prudish exterior, and he planned to bring it out.

Review: Donut Slut by Bryce Calderwood

Donut Slut!: Ariana's Cream-Filled Magical Sex Adventure (Lesbian Splosh Magical Fantasies)Donut Slut!: Ariana's Cream-Filled Magical Sex Adventure by Bryce Calderwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Before you read this book, be sure to watch the video of Ariana Grande licking the doughnuts in the bakery. This ridiculous behavior was screaming out for somebody to write a silly story, and Bryce Calderwood did.

The story is funny and whimsical, especially in light of Ms. Grande's stunt. If it weren't based on this touch of reality, I would not have thought the story so clever. Calderwood gripped the real-world drama by the sprinkles, and crafted something funny and delicious.

The story features Ariana Venti, who tempts fate by ringing a bell in a bakery in spite of written instructions not to. The result is a hilarious limo ride with talking, fucking doughnuts. Calderwood walks the fine line between parody and the ridiculous, and does it with finesse. With the exception of pastry fetishists, readers will not find the story particularly arousing, but it is certainly entertaining.
